Over the last decade

After having my first son, I’ve been struggling to manage my time with work, and family and to devote time for myself and my career growth.

I was seriously struggling to keep up with work demands and kids’ commitments…

Missing time for self-care became my everyday reality. I felt totally stressed out and burnt out till I decided to quit my job thinking that I could spend more time with my family and finally have time to myself.

 

Despite having more time for my kids, I was the most anxious in my life. 

I didn’t know what to do, and I don’t have something to look forward to for myself every day. I felt like my whole life of hard work had gone to waste. I started to feel my kids were a burden and did not have the motivation to do anything else. 

 

I felt lost.

Therefore, I’ve decided that something had to change. I made conscious actions to create my Ideal Week.

It is based on what I’ve learned on my journey of completing my Phd in Japan and also working part-time to self-finance my study, while also taking care of my kids.
